Person/Action – Cutting
Will I have the chops to make the next Indiana Jones or will it turn out more like Firewalker? We’ll find out in two weeks (I’m putting my money on it not even getting up to Firewalker quality).

I might have to push this to a three week short story. I have yet to get anything done on this story. Yikes.

I had a decent break through in the story yesterday. Now I’m ready to dive in full force into the outline and then script.
It’s kind of crazy that I can be so blocked up creatively, then one day something switches and all of the sudden I’ve got the solid beginnings to a story.
A similar thing happened when I was writing “86.” I was originally going to make it about a killer targeting a bunch of high school basketball players. When it came time to have the killer kill someone, I came up with the sledgehammer. That made me think of Peter Gabriel. I then wondered what year that song came out. I then decided to make the killer kill people using songs from ‘86. Eventually that evolved into the killer being obsessed with 86.
While the story ended up pretty generic, it did have a bit of redeeming value with all the references to 86.
