So, a little while back I got an invite into this website. I just kind of wrote it off as a little nothing website. Then I called up my boy, Gerry. He started telling me that it’s greatest thing since Westlemania 3. Yeah, the one where Hogan body slams Andre.
I guess that’s what brings me here. I used to write regularly for my other boy’s website (Russ). So I’m kind of assuming this will be similar. Hopefully I get as much positive feedback here as I did on the old site.
One of my old features I used to do was the MLB season predictions. So, I’ve decided to bring this back right here, right now.
Here’s your playoff teams:
AL EAST – NY Yankees (you can’t seriously think there is another team I’d pick here, can you?)
AL CENTRAL – Minnesota Twins (look out for the White Sox…as I say every year)
AL WEST – Anahiem Angels (My A’s had a good run, but it’s back to last place)
AL WILD CARD – Seattle Mariners (Believe the hype, there will be no Red Sox repeat)
NL EAST – Atlanta Braves (They have the best pitching staff in the majors)
NL CENTRAL – St. Louis Cardinals (Their major “weakness” last year was their starters…and they made the World Series. This year they added Mark Mulder to their starting rotation)
NL WEST – San Diego Padres (The west is a bad division, I’m just picking this one randomly…and I don’t like the Giants)
NL WILD CARD – NY Mets (I know I shouldn’t pick them, but with all those high quality free agents they have to be good, don’t they?)
If you haven’t already guessed, my pick for World Series Champ of 2005 is the St. Louis Cardinals.
